About Us

Dr. Bennett P. Scaglia started practicing urology in Bloomington/Normal in 1994. Shortly after this, in 1995, Dr. Tolentino joined him after finishing further training in a fellowship for male infertility and reproductive technology. Urologic Surgery Associates was established by the two physicians in 1998. The practice grew rapidly with the addition of Dr. Morgan in 2000 and Dr. Grampsas in 2001. At that point it was clear that the practice needed a larger setting. It became apparent to the physicians of Urologic Surgery Associates that not only did they want to expand their clinical setting, but, they also wanted to offer patients state-of-the-art urologic care. Thus was born The UroHealth Institute. This institute offers the ability to perform many laboratory and radiologic (x-ray) services that often times are available for immediate interpretation by the physicians of the Urologic Surgery Associates. The UroHeath Institute also offers the convenience of on-site same day procedures. The Institute is coordinated under the direction of the doctors at Urologic Surgery Associates to provide a stream lined approach to surgical medicine. This approach facilitates better patient care with closer follow-up and ultimately better results with less complications. The same staff tends to pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care all under one roof. This means easier access for patients during their medical experience. Whether having blood drawn or a surgical procedure, patients benefit from the same physicians and staff taking care of the details so they don't have to communicate their needs to new people each step of the way. Unfortunately, due to the variety of health insurance plans available many questions arise along the path to better health. We have polite, dedicated, full time staff members available to answer all of your insurance and billing questions. In most cases, all your questions can be answered before care is provided. All this convenience, the utmost in modern urologic medicine and the physicians and staff are available at a single center - The Urologic Surgery Associates at the UroHealth Institute.
